A vertically oriented etching in black ink depicts a monk in profile from the waist up, facing our right while playing an organ. Shaded with dense cross-hatching and fine hash marks, his dark robes and shaven crown contrast with the background, moving from faint, delicate outlines of vaulted arches and columns to dark, textured pillars that frame the scene on either side. His hands rest on the keys with quiet focus.
