This drawing was actually used in the filming of Pinocchio, the feature-length animated motion picture cartoon, released in 1940 by R.K.O. Radio Pictures.
A vertically oriented watercolor drawing on light-colored paper depicts Pinocchio, a puppet with light skin, crouching toward our left. He wears a yellow hat with a blue band and red feather, a light yellow shirt, blue bow tie, and patterned red overalls. His large blue eyes look toward our right. Thin black strings extend vertically from his white-gloved hands, hat, and brown shoes, suspending him against the empty background.
