Gum tempera and ink on a horizontally oriented, fibrous tan palm leaf features three distinct blocks of dense, black calligraphic text. Two circular binding holes are positioned between the sections. The right edge is frayed and curls upward, revealing the material's organic nature. Small characters are inscribed in the far left and right margins. The heavy blocks of script contrast with the warm, aged tone of the long, narrow leaf.
