A long, horizontally oriented tan palm leaf features three rectangular blocks of dense, black script in gum tempera and ink. Two small circular holes are positioned in the blank spaces between the text sections, while tiny red characters are centered above and below the middle block. The leaf's smooth surface is defined by straight edges on three sides and an irregular, frayed edge on the far left.
