A horizontally long piece of off-white linen needle lace is patterned with stylized floral motifs against a fine mesh ground. Winding stems and blooming flowers, detailed with openwork stitches and tiny dots, form a continuous repeating pattern across the strip. A straight top edge with a tiny looped border contrasts the undulating scalloped bottom edge. On each side, the lace terminates in frayed ends, showing the fine, thread-like texture of the fabric.
