Description

This lace edging depicts shepherdesses, lambs, and flowering plants.
A horizontally long off-white linen lace strip features a repeating pattern of figures against a fine mesh background. Symmetrical scrollwork alternates with figures of standing people holding staffs, four-legged animals, and potted plants. These motifs mirror each other across the narrow, straight-edged band, which terminates at the right with a small rectangular attachment.
