A circular bronze medal features raised text along its upper perimeter reading "THERE IS NO EASY WAY FROM THE EARTH TO THE STARS." Small five-pointed stars are scattered below the inscription, above a textured mountain peak rising from the bottom center. A tree stands at the mountain's base to our left. The dark, mottled patina catches the light along the rough surfaces of the relief carving.
