This horizontally oriented folio, a gum tempera and ink painting on paper, depicts Mahavira, a man with a light skin tone, seated cross-legged on a golden throne within a red-bordered panel on our left. He wears gold jewelry against a blue and red background. Gaps appear in the paper above his head. The remainder features horizontal lines of black script, with three large, circular red marks spaced evenly across the width of the cream-colored page.
