A vertically oriented etching in black ink depicts three character studies within a rectangular border. Center left, a woman in a ruffled cap and patterned cloak faces our right. Lower right, a man's profile wearing a soft, tasseled cap faces our left. Above him, a small, masked figure in a hooded garment stands upright. Fine hatching and stippling provide shading against the plain paper, with faint inscriptions along the bottom edge.
