A vertically oriented etching in black ink on neutral paper depicts a large rooster standing atop a gnarled, textured branch. Intricate line work creates dense, layered feathers and long tail feathers sweeping toward our left. Below its feet, the branch features rounded, shell-like growths. A signature and a small circular monogram appear in the bottom margin, below a horizontal border line that frames the central composition.
