A circular bronze medal, a flat disc finished with a warm golden-brown patina, depicts a triumphal procession in relief. At the left, two horses lead marching soldiers. Behind them, three women stand atop a carriage; the central figure raises a flowing flag aloft. At the right, a soldier blows a trumpet amidst figures with rifles. The bottom is inscribed "METZ-STRASBOURG DECEMBRE 1918," with "HENRY NOCQ" etched along the lower right curve.
