A vertically oriented mezzotint in brown tones depicts a woman with light skin tone standing in a wooded landscape. Leaning her arm on a stone pedestal, she wears a flowing gown and a tall, feathered headdress. Her face is serene, looking toward our right. Soft, velvety gradations create a rich texture throughout the trees and rolling hills. A handwritten signature, "Elizabeth Rutland," is located in the bottom margin.
