A steel neck defense consists of seven overlapping plates forming a downward-curving arch. A dark, rope-like trim borders the lower edge, accented by a row of small round studs. To our right, the piece tapers into a point crowned by a delicate knob. From the underside, two weathered red fabric straps dangle. The smooth, lusterless surfaces transition into a darkened, textured band along the bottom curve.
