Facial armor is forged from matte brown iron. On the upper portion, a U-shaped plate cradles the chin and extends into flared cheek flaps. Below, a throat guard of four overlapping iron plates fans outward. Dark blue silk cords lace the assembly into vertical rows. Gold-colored knotted ties ornament the bottom edge, providing a luminous contrast against the dark metal and deep blue silk.
