A two-sided bronze medal depicts industrial scenes in low relief. On the left, a bare-chested figure draped from the waist stands amidst cogwheels, gripping a lever. On the right, smoking factory chimneys and a tiny figure appear beneath the year "1918." Below, the inscription "LA MONNAIE AU PORT DE ROCHEFORT" arches over an anchor and chain. The medal has a dark, aged brown patina with polished, golden highlights.
