Two sides of a bronze plaque feature architectural scenes in raised relief. On the left, a recessed courtyard flanked by multi-storied buildings leads toward a central domed chapel. The base is inscribed "COUR D'HONNEUR." On the right, the chapel's front facade displays classical columns and statues beneath a prominent dome. A lengthy Latin inscription and the text "LA SORBONNE" fill the bottom section. Both surfaces exhibit a weathered, dark metallic patina.
