The front and back of a circular bronze medallion feature raised designs in relief. On the left, a nude, winged figure flies toward our right with arms outstretched above a biplane skimming crashing waves. On the right, two birds soar above a masted ship while a blank rectangular plaque occupies the upper section. The medallion's surface is warm brown, with darker tones accenting the recessed details of the carvings.
