A circular bronze medallion depicts three military busts in relief. The central figure faces forward, flanked by two men in profile looking inward. Laurel branches wrap around the sides, framing the central inscription: "A LA GLOIRE DES HÉROS DE VERDUN MCMXVI." A small medal sits at the base where the branches cross. The warm metal has a matte finish, with details of the uniforms and facial features conveyed in fine incisions.
