A circular bronze medal, a commemorative token, depicts a robed man facing our left while nailing a document to an arched door. The dates "1517" and "1917" flank him. An open book crowns the doorway, while a serpent coiled around a cross sits at the base. Raised text reading "QUADRICENTENNIAL OF THE REFORMATION" encircles the rim, while a scroll at the bottom bears the inscriptions "JOHN" and "3:14, 15".
