A circular bronze medal is cast with two reliefs. One side features a centered bust of Martin Luther looking toward our right, encircled by text and dates. On the other, a robed figure with their back to us reaches toward a document on a door. Framed by columns, an open book sits above the figure and a serpent-entwined cross below. Commemorative text and dates border the entire scene.
