A horizontally oriented, sepia-toned etching and aquatint depicts a man and a woman with light skin tones in the lower foreground. They walk toward our right as the man pushes a wheelbarrow loaded with sacks. To our left and behind them, massive stone ruins and rubble fill the scene. A large central archway frames further jagged walls in the distance. The print features dark, high-contrast tones and rough, stippled textures.
