A porcelain and gilt metal stopper is shaped like a crown-topped plug. The upper portion, glazed in glossy pale yellow with faint white streaks, features several rounded vertical points of irregular heights. This decorative top is seated in a circular gold rim that narrows into a smooth, cylindrical base. The reflective, organic form of the ceramic contrasts with the polished, geometric metal component, which is designed to fit into a vessel opening.
