Seven overlapping steel plates form these curved upper arm guards, secured by prominent rivets. The matte gray metal displays minor pitting and dark spots. Along the bottom and side borders, an incised dark scalloped pattern creates a rhythmic, wave-like motif. Leather straps are fixed at the top of each piece. Positioned side-by-side, the guards show a functional tiered geometry, their segmented construction following the natural contour of a limb.
