MIX at CMA features free admission this month
Celebrate the holiday season, and take advantage of free admission to MIX: Dream. This month, discover the museum’s extensive and unique collection of American Pictorialist photography in Shadows and Dreams: Pictorialist Photography in America. This exhibition showcases the first concerted, widespread effort to release photography from the constraints of mechanical reproduction and elevate it to the realm of personal expression.
Grab a drink, enjoy the museum’s festive décor and holiday tree and groove to the music of The Gage Brothers. This quartet has combined talents to create a unique folk experience. Pulling from traditional influences and new age folk and blues, the group writes their own music that will have your toes tapping.

Make It! Dreamscapes
Atrium
Set up your own still life dream scene for a sketch or snapshot.
Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse is still on view. Tickets are $18 for adults; seniors and college students $16; children ages 6–17 $9; children 5 and under are free. Museum members free; member guests $9.

MIX: Dream is part of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s MIX at CMA series. On the first Friday of each month, MIX highlights a different aspect of the museum and its collection. Art, music, cocktails; something different every month. MIX is an 18 and over event.
