Description
This medallion may have originally served as a sacerdotal brooch and is the earliest object from the Guelph Treasure, the ecclesiastical treasure of Germany’s Braunschweig (Brunswick) Cathedral.- House of Brunswick-Lüneburg; (Goldschmidt Galleries, New York).
