Join us on the first Friday evening of each month for an ever-changing mix of art, music, and mingling. MIX is an 18 and over event.

MIX: Soul
Friday, February 6, 2015, 5:00–9:00 p.m.

Groove to the funky rhythms of soul music as we celebrate Cleveland’s contribution to this infectious era.

Dance the night away to DJ Mazi Jahi’s special brand of commercial and B-label soul. This Cleveland DJ legend, record collector and co-founder of Touch Supper Club, was dubbed the “soul archeologist of Cleveland” by American Splendor comic series author and music critic, Harvey Pekar. Mazi Jahi will spin tracks from the classic soul era of the 1960’s and 70’s for one incredible MIX at CMA.

Further amplify the evening by translating soul’s funky beats into your own works of art, and be inspired by tours of African-American art in the collection.

Advance tickets, $8; day of event, $10; CMA members FREE.
