Community Arts puppets and dancers headline the 5th annual Garlic Festival at Shaker Square.
On Saturday, September 7 see the parade of Brisas de Luna Nueva from Parade the Circle at 1 p.m. and improvisation by Community Arts dancers from 2:00–2:20 p.m. On Sunday, September 8, Progeny presents the music of New Orleans from 1–1:20 p.m. and accompanies the parade of Painting Songs, Weaving Rhythms from Parade the Circle at 1:30 p.m.
Enjoy street painters Jesse Rhinehart and Tatiana Madden on Saturday from 1–5 p.m.; and Hector Casiano and Wendy Mahon on Sunday from noon–4 p.m.
The North Union Farmers Market champions local foods and “all things garlic” in the Midwest Great Lakes region. Enjoy garlic-themed food prepared by local chefs, family activities, and music from 1–9 p.m. Saturday and noon–6 p.m. Sunday.
