A transparent glass vessel features a tapered, conical bowl narrowing toward a flared, circular base. The smooth, colorless glass contrasts with a textured, gold frieze encircling the lower body. This gilded band is decorated in relief with a procession of thin, leaping dogs and scrolling foliage. The figures encircle the narrowest point just above the foot, providing an ornate horizontal break in the vessel's sleek, vertical silhouette.
