Did You Know?

Green Wheat, created by Paris-trained American industrial designer Gale Turnbull, became one of the most popular patterns produced by Leigh Potters.

Description

Leigh Potters produced sophisticated yet inexpensive tableware for the American consumer from the mid-1920s until 1931.
A cream earthenware vessel features a four-sided body with rounded corners resting on a tiered, square base. An angular handle with a notched outer edge projects to the right. Four vertical stalks with pointed green leaves increase in height from left to right across the side. A thin black line traces the upper rim, emphasizing the vessel's structured, geometric profile and smooth finish.
