A vertically oriented parchment folio depicts the Crucifixion within a gold architectural frame. Christ, with light skin tone, hangs centered between a sun, a moon, and a pelican. To the left, the Virgin Mary swoons; to the right, robed figures stand near a kneeling Mary Magdalene. Below, Latin text in black and red ink features an ornate blue initial 'D' filled with strawberry plants bearing red berries against a gold ground.
