A horizontally oriented, six-fold paper screen painting in gold leaf and mineral pigments features a gnarled, snow-covered plum tree trunk curving from the lower center toward our right. Sparse white blossoms dot thin branches extending toward our left. On our right, three pheasants appear: one perched on the trunk and two on the ground. Swirling water and dark green bamboo leaves occupy the bottom against a gridded gold background.
