One side of a gold coin features an inscription circling an image. A front-facing, coarse-textured bust of Justin II has wide eyes and a linear mouth. He wears a triple-banded beaded crown with pendilia flanking his face. To the left, he holds a small winged figure atop a globe. The Latin inscription includes 'IVSTINVS.' The circular surface is pitted and worn, with faint scratches on the right.
