A vertical hanging scroll in black ink on tan silk depicts thick, segmented bamboo stalks rising from dark, textured mounds. Dense clusters of narrow, pointed leaves flare out from the stalks. To the right, a slender bamboo plant reaches upward alongside the main cluster. Sharp, pointed bamboo shoots sprout from the base. The dark ink strokes and rhythmic segments of the stalks stand out against the warm, monochromatic background.
