A horizontal photogravure in warm sepia depicts ten figures in narrow kayaks navigating calm, rippling water. In the center and right, individuals clad in hooded parkas hold long, double-bladed paddles. Some vessels point forward while others angle away. A high horizon line divides the water from a light, hazy sky. Small inscriptions extend across the bottom edge against the cream border.
