A vertical photogravure in warm sepia tones depicts a man with medium-brown skin from the chest up, wearing a thick fur hood. Facing slightly right, his dark eyes gaze at us from beneath a slightly furrowed brow. Coarse, long fibers of the hood frame his face, contrasting with a dark garment below. Fine grain and soft focus create a textured appearance. Small text is printed in the wide white margin at the bottom.
