A vertically oriented, sepia-toned photogravure portrait depicts Woisista from the shoulders up, an older Cheyenne woman with medium-light skin tone turned slightly to our right against a dark background. She has light hair pulled back from her forehead. She has deep lines across her forehead and around her eyes and mouth, and thin lips firmly pressed. She wears a striped garment and a braided cord hangs over her shoulders.
