A conical lodge, or tipi, features dark bands at its peak and base ornamented with pale circles. Structural poles pierce the apex, while two external poles cross diagonally. To the right, three wooden tripods support dark, fibrous bundles across an open field. Captured in a sepia photogravure, the scene sits upon a flat plain under an expansive sky, marked by a low horizon and delicate, aged grain.
