A vertically oriented sepia photogravure depicts two large tipis against a pale sky. Foregrounded in the lower left, an older man stands beside a light-colored horse. In contrast to the plain tipi behind him, the larger tipi on the right features painted animals and a row of circles along its base. Spindly wooden poles extend from the structures' tops, while the horizon line subtly bisects the lower third of the composition.
