A vertically oriented sepia-toned photogravure print depicts an Assiniboin man seated center on animal furs, looking upward to our right. He has two long braids and wears a necklace of large claws across his bare chest. He holds a slain eagle with its wings outstretched to our left and right. The background consists of a textured, draped fabric. Soft, muted highlights and a fine grain characterize the print.
