A vertically oriented photogravure in warm brown tones closely crops on Waíhusiwa, a Zuñi Kyáqimâssi with a medium skin tone. A pleated cloth wraps his head, while a heavy textile shrouds his lower face, leaving only his brow, nose, and eyes exposed. Deep lines fan from the corners of his eyes and across his forehead. His mouth and chin are obscured by the thick, dark fabric as he looks directly forward.
