Description

Like his female companion, this male figure is portrayed in all his finery. He carries spears, indicating that he is a hunter or warrior, and his confident grin conveys aggression and vitality.
An earthenware sculpture in red, cream, and black depicts a stocky man standing with a wide stance. He wears a tall, conical hat featuring a zigzag line and fringed brim, and a curved ornament beneath his nose. Intricate geometric patterns cover his torso, and his mouth shows bared teeth. He holds a long staff in his raised right hand and a shorter one in his left. A prominent phallus extends between his legs.
