A horizontally oriented print in black ink depicts a gabled house. Repeated, vertical and diagonal lines texture the upper walls above a brick lower level. A tall chimney rises on our left, while a large, leafless tree on our right extends tangled branches across the house. Long, dark shadows stretch over the grass and path in the foreground. Strong light from our left casts a high contrast across the scene.
