A gilt bronze sculpture depicts a chimera crouching on a thick, square base. Much of the gold leaf has worn away to dark brown, primarily remaining on its head and back. The creature features curved horns, a pointed beard, and an open mouth. Patches of textured green oxidation cover the base and lower limbs, while linear patterns detail its legs. Facing left, the creature turns its head toward us.
