Description

This leather panel has been tooled into deep relief. It probably decorated a wooden casket. The two scenes represented are, above, Christ Appearing to Mary Magdalene after his resurrection--also known as the Noli me tangere ("Do not touch me")--and, below, Christ's Entry into Jerusalem.
