A vertically oriented black-inked lithograph features a frenetic, mottled pattern of dense clusters and irregular ink blotches. Thousands of tiny dots and larger rounded forms overlay the entirety of the page, creating a speckled, chaotic composition. In the bottom margin, small handwritten text reads epreuve d'artiste on the left, Tumulte in the center, and j. Dubuffet 58 on the right.
