One side of a gold coin features an inscription circling an image (see "Inscriptions" field). Elizabeth II is in profile from the shoulders up facing right, wearing a laurel wreath in her hair tied at the back with a ribbon. The raised text "ELIZABETH II REGINA" curves around the inner edge, within a beaded border. The polished gold surface shows fine details in the figure's hair and lettering.
