One side of a gold coin features an inscription circling an image. It shows Queen Victoria in profile from the shoulders up with a small crown, a draped veil, and a bejeweled necklace with a star-shaped badge. The Latin inscription "VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP" follows the circular rim. A border of tiny, raised beads lines the edge of the coin.
