A polished, yellow-gold coin depicts a crowned woman in robes walking left beside a maned lion. She carries a scepter and orb. Latin text "DIRIGE DEUS GRESSUS MEOS" curves along the top, with "MDCCCXXXIX" and "W. WYON R.A." inscribed at the base. A decorative border of repeating arches circles the rim. Fine radial scratches and minor dark tarnish mark the coin's lustrous surface.
