One side of a gold coin features a Latin inscription circling a central image. In profile from the neck up is George IV, facing left with short, densely curled hair. The inscription, "GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D:", follows the coin's beaded edge. The warm yellow metal has a slightly textured surface with scattered surface marks and small indentations.
