One side of a gold coin features an inscription circling an image (see "Inscriptions" field). Anne is depicted in profile from the shoulders up with curled hair secured with a band and fabric draped over her shoulder. The Latin text ANNA DEI GRATIA curves around the top edge, and the word VIGO is inscribed below her bust. The gold surface shows fine pitting and wear, and a notched pattern circles the outer edge.
